Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a therapeutic technique developed by David Grand in 2003, which posits that the position of the eyes can help access and process unprocessed trauma located within the brain. It's grounded in the understanding that trauma can overwhelm the brain's natural processing capacities, leaving memories and emotions frozen in a "raw" state. By finding the eye positions associated with these traumatic memories, Brainspotting aims to tap into the body's natural self-scanning, self-healing ability to process and release them.
